Geometric Model - Dissected Polyhedra

Dissected Polyhedra Transformable into Other Polyhedra

American History Museum

Wheeler’s more ingenious plane dissections involved polyhedra, cut into smaller polyhedra, that could then be rearranged to form other polyhedra. He and his students first made these models of paper. Wheeler later made large plastic models for lecture demonstrations. The models are listed in the order of the numbers Wheeler assigned to them, when such a number could be found.
