Description
This paper model of a rhombic dodecahedron has a cube at the core and six hinged square pyramids arranged with one pyramid on each face of the cube, The hinged pieces may be rearranged to form a second, congruent cube. Each cube has an arrangement of dots, so that the two together resemble a pair of dice. For a larger version of this model, see MA.304723.292. For the larger size in plastic, see MA.304723.273 (the cube) and MA.304723.311 (the six pyramids).
There is a drawing in 1979.3002.40 dated March 1, 1939 for "Pair-a-Dice" New Standard Size = Allow for thickness of Pyralin. Model made April 9, 1932 - pieces attached.
