Anacostia, Our Neighborhood

Anacostia Community Museum

“Who are the people in your neighborhood?” sing the residents of Sesame Street. “They’re the people that you meet each day.” A significant part of the Anacostia Community Museum’s collection documents the people of Anacostia, our neighborhood in southeast Washington, DC. These include past and present teachers, students, artists, community activists, physicians, clergy, and business-owners.
