Solar Eclipses

Monday, April 8, 2024, a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. Learn about viewing a solar eclipse with the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum. Build a solar eclipse sonification tool to experience a solar eclipse with sound. Then join the Smithsonian on a cosmic journey from the the eclipse of the sun to our solar system to the far reaches of the universe with events and virtual resources throughout the year.
