Office of Protection Services
The OPS Identification Badging Office, in partnership with the Office of Human Resources, is committed to ensuring workplace safety and organizational integrity by issuing, managing, and maintaining accurate employee identification credentials for the Institution. Through coordinated efforts in verifying identities, regulating access, and maintaining secure records, we foster accountability and efficiency while supporting a safe and trusted environment for all Smithsonian personnel.
As part of our continuing effort to improve the quality and services provided by the ID Office, we are pleased to announce the opening of an Express ID Office. The Express Office is primarily used to process renewal, pick-up, and replacement ID credentials.
