    Description

    A silver gelatin print depicting a black-and-white image of Count Basie. Basie is depicted in a circular spotlight, against a dark background. The spotlight is cast over his body and creates a shadow on the wall behind. He is wearing a dark suit and holding a baton in his proper right hand. White cursive text, written in the negative, in the bottom left corner reads, [Calvert / Chicago]. There are no inscriptions on the back of the image.
