Wheeler, Albert Harry
Description
This hinged paper model fits in a box folded from paper and fits around (although it does not entirely fill) a paper frame. It consists of eight triangular pyramids and six square pyramids. Fitting the triangular pyramids into the frame gives a regular octahedron. Fitting the square pyramids into the frame gives a cube. This is Wheeler's model 775.
There is a drawing in 1979.3002, folder 42, Dated March 21, 1939, for a cube transformable into a regular octahedron.
