A pictorial map. Tsukigase (local variant is Tsukise) is a famous scenic region in Nara Prefecture. The map includes coded identifications for celebrated scenic and historical points of interest and excerpts from those literary works containing poetic references to the region. Also included are heights of the mountains, distances between the most visited places, and other information for visitors. Published by Okamoto Jūgorō, Kyoto, the 26th year of the Meiji period.
