On view are costumes from Nigeria, Cameroon, Tanzania, and Kenya as well as jewelry of the Berber people of Algeria and Morocco, the Masai of Tanzania, the Zulu of southeastern Africa, the Baule of the Ivory Coast, and the Bobo of Upper Volta. Highlighted are a group of multi-media applique costumes used in masquerades by the Edo people of southern Nigeria. Creations by the contemporary Nigerian costume designer Lawrence Ajanaku are featured.

Assembled by the Museum of Cultural History, University of California at Los Angeles.
