Olowe of Ise: A Yoruba Sculptor to Kings

On view are 35 major works by Olowe of Ise (c. 1873-1938), who was commissioned to make sculpture for several Ekiti-Yoruba kings. Objects include a palace door and bowl with figures, shrine figures, veranda pillars, toys, containers, and a mask.
