A 48-page book created by Ghanaian artist Atta Kwami (b. 1956) explores artwork by his mother Grace Salome Kwami. A work of art in itself, the book opens like the legs of a spider (ananse). In Ghanaian culture, the character Anansi is the custodian of wisdom and a symbol of ingenuity.
