African Mankala

27 sculptured gameboards and 11 related objects depict the vital visual forms of Africa's popular game, mankala. Each mankala board is examined for its stylistic, cultural, historical, and regional significance. Some boards and instructions are installed in a special area to allow visitors to play the game.
