Description
Circular gold case having stem with small ring at top; front with circular white face with roman numerals in black and blued steel(?) hands, the whole surrounded by a narrow off-white enameled band with gilt and green lozenge decoration. Reverse shows grisais scene of a couple in a verdant garden, the gowned woman in the foreground standing near a caged bird on a table, the man to the left and behind a low wall or fence, serenading her with a lute.
