Description

Very high somewhat altered monument of Colleoni, seen from right corner of back with mourning figures beside. In background, fantastical Venetian structures; at left, sepulchral monument at wall of church. At right, monument with equestrian statue in front of upper part of structure which has appearance of mausoleum. Front, variation of monument to Nicola Orsini, Church of St. John and Paul in Venice. Framing lines. Inscribed by Giani in graphite: Piazza per sepolchri. Written in upper right corner, horizontally in ink: 14.
