THIS TOY IS ALSO USED BY THE CREE INDIANS AND HAS PROBABLY BEEN INTRODUCED FROM THEM. IT IS SOMETIMES USED IN GAMBLING. THIS IS A SERIES OF SOCKETS MADE OF BONES OF REINDEER AND IN PLAYING THE OBJECT IS CATCH AS MANY AS POSSIBLE ON THE SPIKE THE HIGHER ONE COUNTING MOST - CATCHING THE HOLES IN THE LEATHER TAG ALSO COUNT-CERTAIN HOLES BEING HIGHEST. R. KENNICOTT. 1863."
