Summary
Various small hand tools are stowed aboard the Space Shuttle for the astronauts to use for planned tasks and minor repairs. This mechanical fingers, a device for reaching small objects in tight spaces, was part of the tool kit flown on the STS-7 mission in 1983. NASA transferred this and other items no longer needed for flight to the Museum in 1985.
