Description
A poster created by the Women's Graphics Collective advertising the 1976 Lesbian Writers Conference in Chicago.
The Lesbian Writers Conference was held annually in Chicago from 1974 to 1978. It was founded by Marie J. Kuda, a writer and archivist, and Valerie Taylor, a lesbian pulp fiction author. Attendees discussed their creative process, but also shared advice on how to self-publish, as most mainstream publishers rejected lesbian content.
