Description
Tea-ceremony water jar with faceted sides (mentori mizusashi [Jpn])
String-cut base. Black lacquer cover.
Clay: coarse, light-fawn. Brown surface with coarse quartz inclusions.
Glaze: dark purplish brown; overflow of brilliant blue-green. Both enamel glazes.
