Description
Landscape sketch showing a view of a summer sunset behind the Catskills, likely from the artist's property near Hudson, New York. The last light of the setting sun vibrantly illuminates clouds near the horizon in fiery yellow and orange-red. Sky is a dark olive green while mountains are rendered in dark purple, and foreground in deep evergreen. Light blue ground visible along upper margin.
