Description (Brief)
Limited edition 99/120, "A Story About A Machine" skatezine written by the donor Steve Smith. It is a small white booklet with a black and white image of the author sitting on a skateboard. The text is typewritten and there are black and white photographs throughout. The skatezine discusses the history of the skateboarding fanzines, especially the creation of Skate Fate by Garry Scott Davis and the search for the typewriter used to write Skate Fate. Skatezines are fan magazines dedicated to the world of skateboarding and began popping up in the 1980s as Tony Hawk and Christian Hosoi were reintroducing kids to skateboarding through vert skating and video games featuring skateboarding.
