Summary
The small fixed-angle scoop was used for collecting soil from the lunar surface during the Apollo 12 and Apollo 14 missions. Stowed on the small tool carrier, the extension handle attachment point was reinforced and the scoop pan was fitted with a steel blade to enable it to serve as a chisel. It was, however, not used as a chisel during the lunar missions.
This scoop was used for training and not flown. NASA transferred it to the Smithsonian in 1975.
