    Description

An exhibition invitation postcard for the "Daze Solo Exhibition" in Seoul, Korea. The front of postcard features a detail of a painting by Daze displayed in the exhibition. The image features the end of New York subway car in the center of the postcard. The background is a variety of warm colors with some green and blues. The colors bleed and run together. Green, yellow, and orange are the predominant colors in the upper left corner, while red predominates the upper right corner. Along the bottom third of the postcard features cropped, spray painted-style letters in red, blue, green, and black. The subway car, just above center is painted in colors similar to the background. On the upper right side of the car are two (2) dates [1976 / 1983]. At the top of the car, above the door, is a depiction of the car’s line number [5] to the left of the car’s destination [BOWLING / GREEN]. On the reverse is the exhibition information. Most of the text, in pale pink, yellow, and white, is in Korean characters. The English text at the top of the card reads [DAZE SOLO EXHIBITION] in pink and white text. In the faded background featured a black-and-white image of a male graffiti artist painting on a brick wall covered with large graffiti letters. The man stands with his back to the camera on the left side of the image. He is wearing a white, short-sleeve tee-shirt, striped shorts and sneakers. The text is on the right half of the postcard. It lists the date of the exhibition opening as well as a date for a live event with the artist. Along the bottom are names and logos of the organizers, sponsors, and supporters of the exhibition. There are no inscriptions on the front or back of the postcard.
