    Description (Brief)

    A model to accompany the application for US Patent #208299, "Speaking Telephone," issued 24 September 1878 to Thomas A. Edison. Two instruments mounted horizontally on a wooden base. Brass and wood with mica diaphragm, electromagnet and contact outside with small wooden mockups of batteries, coils and condensers.
