Large painted wooden head from wooden coffin lid. Headdress complete, face has beard. Probably 25th or 26th Dynasty, but archaicized in style. Mask emulates Mid. Kingdom types. Eyeliner and eyebrows seem inlaid - glass? bronze? Uncertain.
From NMNH Exhibit Hall "Eternal Life in Ancient Egypt" label for this artifact, 2011: Man's coffin mask, 760-525 BC (probable).
