An unassembled plastic model of the Spirit of St. Louis with instructions, decals and box. The model is molded gray plastic still attached to trees inside of a plastic bag. The decals for the model are black on a rectangular piece of paper, and can be applied using water. The instructions for the model are printed on a two-fold piece of paper with an image and history of the aircraft on the main page. The directions are printed in black and have diagrams for each step. The box is rectangular and blue with a large image of the Spirit of St. Louis flying against an orange, cloud filled sky. The image is outlined by a white border and the text "Spirit of St. Louis" is printed in white above the image. 1/48 Scale.

On May 20-21, 1927, Charles Lindbergh literally flew into history when he crossed the Atlantic Ocean in his Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis, thus becoming the first pilot to fly solo and nonstop from New York to Paris. This flight made Lindbergh a household name and catapulted him into fame and celebrity.
