Summary
This Apollo 12 commemorative medal was struck by the Franklin Mint for the Ninety-Nine Company. Apollo 12 launched on November 14, 1969, and returned to Earth ten days later. It was the sixth human spaceflight and the second lunar landing in the Apollo program. Charles Conrad, Jr., Richard Gordon, Jr., and Alan Bean were the astronauts. The medal is set in an envelope with a postmark of November 19, 1969 (the date the astronauts actually landed on the Moon).
Space medal collect Thomas Becker donated the medal to the National Collection in 1972.
