Summary
The Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) gave this medal to James Webb in 1964 for outstanding achievement. Founded in 1946, the AFCEA is an international, non-profit organization representing professionals in the communications, electronics, intelligence, and information systems areas. James Webb received the medal for his work as Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, a position in which he had been serving since 1961.
