Object Details
Description
This blown and molded square-shaped jar has a flared lip, and a round glass stopper. The numeral "3" is etched into the glass stopper. The white baked enamel shield is framed by stylized blue leaves with yellow and red flowers. Above the shield is a yellow crown. The label bears the alchemical symbol for powder and the text LIMAT MART in black. This bottle would have contained Limatura Martis, sublimated iron, iron filings, used as a stimulant, astringent, or tonic.
