A composite photographic image of two black fetish figures left and lower right against randomly placed explosions of white light on a black ground. Imprinted horizontally, in white against black, in lower right quadrant: light in august; along left edge (sideways): LIGHT IN AUGUST : WILLIAM FAULKNER; horizontally, lower left quadrant: william faulkner; lower right corner: lustig + barrows.
