Joseph Henry's house was built in 1838. The house has sat in four different places at Princeton having moved around the campus three times from its original location.

Summary

House of Joseph Henry, first Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution from 1846 to 1878, in Princeton, New Jersey. Before Henry came to the Smithsonian, he was a professor at Princeton University. The house that he lived in on campus still stands and has been designated a National Historical Landmark.
