    Description

    The IBM PC was a milestone in personal computing introduced on August 12, 1981. Users had the option of choosing the 11 1/2 in. Monochrome Display or the 12 1/2 inch Color Display which was used with the IBM Color/Graphics Moditor Adapter. The Color Display lets you use 16 colors for text and up to four colors for graphics. The number of available colors incerases to 16 for graphics when the display is attached to an IBM Enhanced Graphics Adapter (EGA). The computer was discontinued on April 2, 1987.
