    Summary

    Mail art by Gerard Barbot to John Held Jr. consists of an envelope with a collage of artistamps, postage stamps, and rubber stamped images and text.
    On recto, rubber stamp images and text reference the John Held text An Annotated Bibliography of Mail Art and commemorate "John Held Jr. Ten Years n Mail Art 1976-1986." The stamped "1986" is overwritten with "96" in pencil.
    Also present is stamped text and images referencing Hiroshima with the inscription (stamped): MAIL ART IS JUST A BIG BACK AND FORTH WITHOUT BOMBS.
    On the verso, more artistamps and rubber stamp produced images are present. Stamped text includes a call for ideas and images for performances in Hiroshima and Dallas, and a mail art show in Dallas, September 24-October 15, 1988.
