Figurine, Lindbergh, King Collection

A pewter figurine with base. The figure is Charles Lindbergh standing with his hands behind his back. In his hands he is holding a flight cap and goggles. The front of his jacket has two large pockets just above the waist. The figure is completely painted with a brown jacket, light brown trousers, green socks, brown shoes, brown hair and a brown flight cap. The base of the figure has the word "PEWTER" engraved in it.

On May 20-21, 1927, Charles Lindbergh literally flew into history when he crossed the Atlantic Ocean in his Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis, thus becoming the first pilot to fly solo and nonstop from New York to Paris. This flight made Lindbergh a household name and catapulted him into fame and celebrity.
