Object Details

Description

Cylindrical stainless-steel fermenter with threaded apertures and domed bottom, serial no. 279, with “7-28-47” date on a label. This was used for penicillin research at The USDA Northern Regional Research Laboratory in Peoria, Ill., in the 1940s.
