Summary
The effects of space on the eyes could be measured using these special glasses. The switches on temples monitor the movements of muscles around they eye, the signals of which are then transmitted through the white wires to a computer. With increased spaceflight duration during the final Apollo missions, doctors used the opportunity to measure body functions pre and post-flight that the decreased gravity environment would affect.
NASA transferred these glasses to the Museum in 1972.
