Description
Public schools in the 19th and early 20th Century encouraged the Americanization of newcomers with programs and images intended to inspire patriotism. In most classrooms, American flags hung alongside images of the American eagle and images of George Washington.
This small school hand bell is made of cast iron with a decorative eagle on top. This eagle is made of cast iron and painted gold.
