    Description

    Four pages from the August 29, 1876 edition of the Daily Ohio State Journal (Columbus, Ohio.) The pages include a box score on the 4th page from a baseball game held between the Columbus Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Red Stockings. The contest ended in a 3-3 tie.
    The Buckeyes were an independent professional baseball team that would join the American Association. The Red Stockings, not to be confused with similarly named Boston club, would become the National Leagues' Cincinatti Reds.
