Description
Architecture and landscape sketch showing a view of three columns of the Parthenon in Athens, Greece, seen from the north. The immediate foreground is unfinished and includes portions of large stone blocks. Behind them, three fluted, doric columns supporting a ruinous entablature taper slightly as they ascend. Vegetation and other detritus is visible on the surface of the stones. In the background, a rugged mountain range forms an undulating horizon beneath a blue and open sky.
