    Description

This two-roller, self-inking lever press was made by Curtis & Mitchell of Boston in about 1876. It was painted green. Its markings include casting marks of “Caxton Press” behind the platen, and “C. & M.” on the body. It is also stamped “109” on platen edge. The press has a length of 23 inches a height of 14.5 inches and a width of 9.5 inches; the chase measures 4 inches by 6 inches.
