Summary
This is a camera body manufactured for the Gemini program by the J.A. Maurer company. Maurer 70mm cameras were used at the end of the program for scientific photography experiments. The cameras were not as well regarded for their quality as the standard use Hasselblad cameras carried on every NASA mission from the end of the Mercury program through the end of the space shuttle program.
NASA transferred this spare camera body to the Museum in 1971.
