Summary
The Apollo survival rucksack #1 contained a survival radio with an built in antenna. To increase the communication range, the radio came equipped with a special cable to connect to the Command Modules own VHF antenna.
This cable was flown on Apollo 15, in July/August 1971. It was transferred from NASA to the Smithsonian in 1978.
