Description
This Bill Bridges basketball card is number 17 in a series of 264 that was manufactured by the Topps Company Inc. for the 1972-1973 National Basketball Association season. The front of the card features a posed picture of the Philadelphia 76ers forward on a yellow background. The card’s reverse features a small cartoon image illustrating the factoid that “Bill works with underprivileged youngsters,” as well as a short biography and career statistics.
Bridges played in the NBA for 13 years as a member of the St. Louis/Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Lakers, and Golden State Warriors. Bridges was a three-time NBA All-Star, and won an NBA championship as a member of the Warriors in 1975. Bridges averaged 11.9 points and 11.9 rebounds for his career.
