    Description (Brief)

    Pedestal telephone. Donor reported: "Code 249 'Kitchen Set' with improved Edison carbon granular 'Blake' transmitter, 1897. Equipped with type C receiver, code 101, 1877." Receiver stamped with serial number 59784. Lockable wooden case mounted on a steel stand. Single coil magneto receiver with cloth insulated wires.
