Description
.Landscape and botanical sketch showing a view of a maple tree wreathed in fall foliage, likely located on or near the artist's property in Hudson, New York. Dominating the composition at center, the tree has long, dark branches with green leaves transitioning into red foliage, at lower center and center left. A mass of other treetops are shown beside the tree at left and right. The sky above is hazy or possibly overcast, revealing a patch of distant land at lower left.
