Biographical / Historical

The later issues of the paper list Elias Auger as proprietor and manager, but it is not known who was the founder. The newspaper's offices were located in the Randle Highlands neighborhood of Southeast, Washington, DC. According to the Library of Congress, The Weekly News ceased operations in approximately December 1909.
