Scope and Contents

Dictation notes, ["The Case of the Interrupted Disposition: American Citizen Violated," April? 17, 2006]. Notes dictated by McCormick for his draft of an untitled one-man production, tentatively titled "The Case of the Interrupted Disposition: American Citizen Violated." The play is based on the burglary that occurred at McCormick's house which resulted in the theft of a photograph. It is a call for change in the Houston legal system. McCormick describes the set of the 20-minute play as a major law firm or court room in Houston, Texas. Seventeen people, all cardboard cutouts, are sitting around a conference table with a transcribing device and a video camera. The voice of a judge can be heard from a telephone, but they are never seen. McCormick suggests that the theatric production could be a compilation of one act plays relating to Robert Johnson or more than one act could be created. He states that this play is parallel to his book but includes different materials.
