Scope and Content Note
Documents individuals who worked as music producers, as well as for-profit and nonprofit record labels. Materials consist of photographs, correspondence, newspaper articles, and marketing materials from record labels, distributors, as well as individuals, such as music producer Milt Gabler. Record labels include Decca Records, Gennett Records, Folkways Records, Library of Congress, and the Smithsonian Institution. Materials are arranged in alphabetical order with well-known labels organized individually, and lesser-known corporations grouped together by the letter of the alphabet.
