Scope and Contents
This series is comprised of photographs, negatives, and several positive transparencies (of sheet music for singer Marian Montgomery). The photographs span all the years of Gabler's professional life, beginning with images of the Commodore Music Shop, where Gabler worked from 1926 to 1958. Included here as well are images of Jam Sessions at Brunswick Studios and Jimmy Ryan's on 52nd Street.
