Scope and Contents
Includes material documenting the financial, legal, logistical, and promotional aspects of Fitzgerald's music career. There are contracts primarily relating to domestic performances and travel dating from 1952 until 1969. Also included are song lists for performances, itineraries, foreign work permits, and publicity materials. Many of the song lists are in Fitzgerald's hand and are written on envelopes, hotel stationary, and grocery lists. There are also Fitzgerald's handwritten pages of lyrics to oft-performed, well-known songs. In addition, there is also correspondence relating to hotel and travel arrangements, travel receipts, printed advertisements, business cards, and autographs.
