Scope and Contents
Includes general information, ephemera, and guidebooks relating to the California Pacific International Exposition. Held in San Diego, California from May 29, 1935-November 11, 1935 and February 12, 1936-September 9, 1936 the exposition was intended to promote and support San Diego's economy. In addition, there is a small amount of material relating to the Brussels International Exposition. This fair was held April 27, 1935-November 6, 1935 to recognize the fiftieth anniversary of the establishment of the Congo Free State.

Collection is open for research but is stored off-site and special arrangements must be made to work with it. Researchers must handle unprotected photographs with gloves. Researchers must use reference copies of audio-visual materials. When no reference copy exists, the Archives Center staff will produce reference copies on an "as needed" basis, as resources allow. Viewing film portion of collection requires special appointment, please inquire. Do not use when original materials are available on reference video or audio tapes.
